Spring Hafla in Holiday Inn
Saturday 18th May 2009 saw our 4th hafla and what a great night it was. We had students from Cloughfern, Belfast Boat Club, Carrickfergus and Ballyclare all strutting their stuff. We were also really pleased to welcome our fellow dancers from Michele Young's Belfast troupe and Kristyene Boreland's troupe from Bangor.

Joanna and I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who supports us by attending classes, working so hard on their choreographies and dragging their poor unsuspecting relatives along to watch the show. We really do appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you!

Dance Holiday in Cairo 2009
Well....we just about survived this last week in Cairo.
Debbie, Tania, Nichola, Lizanne, Laura, Jade, Kris, Joanna, Adele and Fereshteh all braved Cairo for a gruelling but extremely enjoyable 10 hours dance tuition.
We had lessons with Laila, Lubna Eman, Asmahan, Randa and of course Fereshteh. There were too many new moves to remember....just a good job we caught most of it on video.
In the evenings we took in shows on the Nile Maxime and the Nile Pharon, watching Lorna Gow, Kamile, Randa and Asmahan perform. What a feast for the eyes that was.
Some brave souls even went out partying all night, every night!
Shopping really should be an Olympic sport and the girls would all be gold medalists judging by the amount of cash parted with.... though Lizanne was definitely the clear winner this trip!
A great week away, with all vowing to do it all again next year.
